Although
Group Insurance Management Services, Inc. was established in 1997, its
history spans back 30 years to 1977 when
Mark
R. Gregoire
started his career in the insurance industry with Ciciarelli Insurance
Agency located in Springfield, Massachusetts. With a
remarkable
start in his young career, Mark partnered with the local Northwestern
Mutual General Agent in 1986 leading to the successful
creation of
the national franchise of Northwestern Group Management
Services
(NGMS) under Northwestern Mutual offering group employee benefits. Mark
continued with Northwestern Mutual receiving top honors and recognition
until 1997 when he decided to start his own company.
Mark's
vision was to establish a personally owned group employee
benefits specialty brokerage company focused on doing business through
the building of relationships based on respect, honesty, and
exceptional client services. In 1999, the official naming of
this
new company as Group Insurance Management Services, Inc. was completed.
The domain name of YourRightArm.com and the company motto
of "Your Right Arm for Benefits Solutions" were established and
symbolic of Mark's attitude that his clients should always think of
GIMS as "Your Right Arm for Benefits Solutions", a partner helping you
manage the benefits and cost value of your group employee benefits
program.
